Ball Jointed Doll
When first learned about BJD's, my immediate reaction was "I need to make a Ghetsis one." In spite of the fact that I'm personally more of a plushes person, there's this absolutely stunning level of sophistication that you just can't get with soft, cuddly things.
At the current moment, I have neither the plans nor the funds to get a doll body and face and all of the other parts that some with it (faceup, eyes, specific-shade-of-green wig, clothes...), but I do have some ideas for what I'd like. While I don't plan on doing any big deep dives in the near future, my first foray into the world of BJD left me with some pretty good results, and a much better idea of what to expect from a doll.
I will also add on that even pre-tarrif, I was fully expecting to pay at least $1000 USD for this doll. That sentiment remains unchanged.
Head and Body
I really should rather be sleeping, but I'll put a link to the body + head I'm thinking of getting tomorrow, alongside the specifications that I'm thinking of.
Eyes
Redddd ooo spookyyyyy
Wig
For better or for worse, I know almost exactly what shade of green I'm looking for.
Faceup
Need to find an artist I like.
Clothes
I'm planning on trying to make his clothes for him from scratch.
Accessories
The doll stand thing, though I'd say that's more of a necessity than anything.
